Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Geologist to join our team! Under close supervision, performs a variety of geological and field tasks by applying basic geological techniques and analyses. The Geologist at this level is in a developmental mode, being trained in the utilization of relevant geological and/or hydrogeological theories and practices, and gaining exposure to Company procedures. Some assignments involve the use of computer software applications (e.g., spreadsheets, CAD, aquifer test analysis, etc.). Willingness to travel and/or relocate to field sites is expected.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performs various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic geological principles and fundamental theories. Applies available data pertinent to geology and/or hydrogeology, accurately describing and classifying soil and rock samples.
• Provides technical guidance for stratigraphic and groundwater drilling programs.
• Conducts soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs.
• Assists in geological mapping and in performing basic geologic analyses.
• Assists in geologic report preparation, including preparation of cross sections and compilation of environmental sample analyses.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field and typically 0+ years of related work experience.
• Ability to work in an outdoor setting and in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and bend, stoop, kneel and climb
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs

Salary Range:
