Job Title: Garage Door Installer/Technician (Entry Level or Experienced)
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Garage Door Installer/Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Garage Door Installer/Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing a variety of overhead doors, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install commercial and residential overhead doors, including automatic openers, according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot door issues; perform routine maintenance and repair work to ensure doors function safely and efficiently.
Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, providing clear explanations of work performed and recommendations for maintenance.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge and assisting with more complex installations and repairs when necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience: Entry-level candidates are welcome; prior experience in garage door installation/repair is a plus.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems; ability to use hand and power tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Customer Focused: Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with both commercial and residential overhead door systems.
Familiarity with safety standards and building codes related to garage door installation.
Certification from a recognized industry organization (e.g., IDEA Certified Door Technician) is a plus.
