Flight Software Developer - Space Systems Location: On-site | 9/80 Schedule Clearance: Must be eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance About the Role: Join a pioneering aerospace team developing cutting-edge flight software for next-generation space vehicles. As a Flight Software Developer, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and testing real-time embedded systems that power space missions. Key Responsibilities: + Design and implement real-time embedded software in C++ for VxWorks-based systems. + Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test teams to ensure seamless integration. + Participate in Agile development cycles including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives. + Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and testing. + Support software verification and validation in lab and flight hardware environments. + Prepare for and support the transition of the program into a classified environment. Required Qualifications: + Proficiency in C++ for embedded systems. + Experience with VxWorks or other real-time operating systems (RTOS). + Strong understanding of real-time embedded software design. + Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines. + Agile development experience. + Proficient in Git version control. + U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. + Willingness to work on-site on a 9/80 schedule. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with spaceflight or satellite software systems. + Background in flight software development. + Knowledge of command and telemetry systems. + Familiarity with aerospace development environments and tools. Pay Rate: $80 - $90 per hour Keywords: C++, RTOS, VxWorks, Agile, CI/CD, Embedded Systems, Spaceflight, Telemetry, Flight Software Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $190000.00/hr.
