Job Description: Liquid Propane (LP) Gas Technician
Overview:
Our ideal teammate for this role is someone who is meticulous, safety-conscious, and highly skilled in LP gas systems. They have a strong commitment to customer service and are dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all LP gas installations and repairs.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair LP gas systems, including tanks, lines, regulators, and appliances.
Conduct safety inspections of LP gas systems and appliances, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to LP gas systems, providing prompt and effective solutions.
Perform routine maintenance on LP gas systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Work closely with customers to explain the operation and safety features of LP gas systems.
Ensure all work complies with state and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
Respond to emergency calls for LP gas leaks or other safety concerns.
Stay informed about new technologies, safety practices, and regulatory changes in the LP gas industry.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
LP Gas Certification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as an LP Gas Technician, with at least 3 years in the field.
Strong understanding of LP gas systems, safety protocols, and regulations.
Ability to diagnose and repair gas leaks and other system issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience working with both residential and commercial LP gas systems.
Familiarity with HVAC systems and their integration with LP gas.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development in the LP gas industry.
