About the Role:
As a Network Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our network infrastructure. You will assist in the implementation and support of network systems while providing technical guidance to users across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our networks, helping to address any incidents that arise swiftly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for network-related issues and assist users in troubleshooting network connectivity problems.
Monitor and analyze network performance, making recommendations for enhancements or adjustments as necessary.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Document network configurations, procedures, and protocols, ensuring all documents are up to date.
Participate in network upgrades and implementation of new technologies to enhance network capability.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving network incidents and outages.
Coordinate with the IT team to ensure network security is enforced and best practices are followed.
Conduct regular network assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and improve security measures.
Stay updated on the latest in networking technologies, protocols, and trends.
Provide training and support to end-users on network usage and best practices.
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in network support or administration.
Proficient understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, VPN, LAN, WAN, and firewalls.
Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of network security best practices and protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Hourly pay: $28.84/hr-$33.65/hr. depending on experience.
