Job Description

Reserve Cut, a high-volume modern Kosher steakhouse, is seeking polished and motivated servers with at least 2 years of fine dining experience in NYC . We're looking for team players who can thrive under pressure, multitask with ease, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This is a fast-paced, upscale dining environment where precision, efficiency, and grace under pressure are essential.

Job Summary:

Servers are responsible for providing hospitality and satisfaction to restaurant guests, while building a relationship with the guest to retain a repeat guest list and gathering any constructive feedback to ensure constant experience of our food, beverage and guest-service improvement. They are also in charge of the service area and leading the section team by example. Handling daily team member relations and we are encouraging problem-solving by team members through proper training and self-improvement and leadership empowerment. We strive to provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. 

This position is engaging and provides prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage service where attention to detail is of the utmost importance. As the primary point of contact for guest interactions you are responsible for explaining and questions the guests has and serving food and beverages using their knowledge, hospitality, and service skills that we will be providing intense training and development. 

 

Responsibilites 

  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in POS system
  • Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
  • Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested
  • Offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques (daily specials, cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after dinner beverages)
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.
  • Implement steps of service for guests consistently
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or
  • make change (if applicable).
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
  • Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Required cleanliness, organization and attention to details
  • Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
  • Have knowledge of beverage lists and promotions

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of restaurant experience in the hospitality industry, Private Member Club experience preferred.
  • Michelin restaurant experience preferred
  • Must have excellent knowledge of fine dining room and service procedures and functions
  • Outstanding guest service skills
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be a team player/work well with others
  • Possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cash register and POS system
  • Professional presentation and positive attitudeAbility to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment
  • NYC Food Handlers Permit and TIPS certification preferred
