Job Description
The SMT Touch-Up & Rework Technician is responsible for performing various duties within the SMT assembly area in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
- Precision Soldering on PCBAs
- The Operator must be able to interpret drawings, bills of material, manuals and other work instructions.
- Must work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries, this includes wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
- Detects malfunctions of the assembly equipment through visual and audio ques.
- Communicates with the Senior Technician and QC personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Makes appropriate entries into Travelers, Time Standards and the Work Order Document Package.
- Maintains traceability of product.
Preferred, But Not Required - 2-Years experience Soldering Electronic Components for PCBAs
- IPC 610 trained
- JEDEC J-STD-001 trained
- Extra IPC standards knowledge is a plus
- Familiar with ESD / MSL requirements for components and PCB/PCBAs
