We are looking for experienced and creative UI/UX Plugin Designers with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to design consistency to join our Products team.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will create visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces for our plugins. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
Responsibilities
As a UI/UX Plugin Designer at WPMU DEV, you’ll get to do more than design interfaces. You’ll showcase your expertise in team collaboration, prototyping, and testing. More specifically, you’ll get to:
* Create intuitive and visually appealing UI designs for leading WordPress plugins using Figma.
* Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to brainstorm ideas and iterate on designs.
* Conduct research on competitors’ designs and industry trends.
* Develop user journeys, flows, and wireframes, ensuring usability and user-centric design principles.
* Maintain and work within our design system built in Figma.
* Propose innovative design ideas and variations, contributing to product enhancement.
* Stay updated with the latest trends in UI design and web technologies.
* Commit to working a minimum of 40 hours per week on various projects.
Qualifications
Essential attributes and experience required:
* Proven experience in UI/UX design, specifically within WordPress projects.
* Thorough understanding of WordPress, plugins, and the ecosystem’s opportunities and limitations.
* Proficiency in Figma for design creation and prototyping.
* A strong portfolio showcasing skills in UI/UX
* Portfolio demonstrating creative and user-focused design solutions.
* Strong understanding of UX principles, user journeys, and user flows.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience in conducting competitive analysis and user research.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively liaise with your Product Manager.
* Experience contributing to or managing design systems.
* Strong communication skills with proactive responses to emails and Slack messages.
